Hello Guys, Happy Weekend!!!
This day actually we were had tour city but we had miscommunication
with Dr. Rita. Because we didn’t confirmation about the day for the city tour,
so she hasn’t contact the agency tour guide for us and also that day was
raining day. Oh how poor we were, our first weekend for excursion day was
failed.
But there must be lesson that we could take from all
this. From this raining day you could saw the beautiful city with pouring rain
on it. Look at the picture, that was beautiful Cebu City from the school
building where I stayed. So I just enjoyed the raining day by stayed in the
dorm all the time, talking about any story with my roommate and doing our blog.

But this day we had special moment, we were invaded our buddies in our dorm.
Our first buddy Reggy as the President Student Council in University of San Carlos
South Campus brought his other friends to introduced them to us. Well, we had other buddy then J. They were very friendly. We were talking about Cebu
City, they suggest us about the place that we had to visited and also we
arranged our tour plan. They planned to guided us on Sunday.
It was so nice to know them all, occasionally we
learn few words of Tagalog language from them and also they learn few words of
Indonesia language. Sometimes we laughed
each other about the new words that we thought that funny because that was the
first time we heard it. Because they had another schedule this day so we ended
our meeting today by took a selfie. So waited for the next day.

Well, well, well, finally today was coming. Today,
our buddies will be accompany us too look around the Cebu City. They would took
us to some famous place in Cebu. But unfortunately, just Reggy would accompany
us because the other buddies couldn’t made it.
Reggy was came with his father and took us with their car, so nice
people.
The first place we had visited was Tabuan Market.
Reggy took us there to help us to brought our necessity like vegetables,
fruits, eggs, etc. The market not quite different with Indonesia. Reggy was
great guide, he even want to paid our stuffs. After we got our need, he and his
father took us back to the campus to put our stuff first before we were going
to explore the city. Yeaahhh!!

So, our second destination was Fort San Pedro. Fort
San Pedro was a military defense structure in Cebu, built by Spanish. It is
located in area called Plaza Independencia, in the pier area of the city. We
were look around the building, the place was so awesome. There were many
beautiful spot to took a photo. Also the important thing was that you’ll knew
the little part story of Cebu history, about the hero of Cebu that one of them
was Lapu-Lapu. I knew him before as the character of Mobile Legend (online gameJ).
Then we just a lot took pictures to keep it as our memory in Cebu. After took
many pictures, we decided to leave.

That day was very hot day even that we surround the
city by walking. But we just enjoy it a lot because we were too curious
everything about Cebu. Before we going to our next destination we’re going to
Central Plaza, we just took a rest a few minutes and ate French Fries.
The next place was City Hall of Cebu. But when we
were on our way went there we’re saw the souvenir seller. So we’re interested
by the souvenir to brought it to Indonesia when we came back. I bought some key
chains for my friends in Indonesia and I bought some T-shirt for my family. Reggy
not just accompany us to beautiful place, he even help us to bargain the price
of the souvenir. And the seller agree to lower the price when we bought it a
lot. Nice trick! J

Then we continue our tour to Basilica del Santo Niño
de Cebú. When you go there, you’ll find City
Hall of Cebu and Maggellan’s Cross. So the Cebu City Hall is home to the mayor,
vice mayor, councilorsa, legislative and executive officers and city administrator. Meanwhile the Magellan’s
Cross, Magellan was the name of Portuguese that is Ferdinand Magellan.
Maggellan planted a wooden cross on the shores of cebu to commemorate the
baptism of Humabon (Chieftain of Cebu), his wife, and their subjects, and to
signify the establishment of Christianity in the Philippines. The cross that
Magellan planted has been known since then as the Magellan’s cross. The cross
has been housed inside a small chapel or kiosk that is shape like a gazebo and
made of adobe and red tiles. The
kiosk is located beside the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebú on
Magellan’s Street and in fron of the city hall building of Cebu City.

So then let’s move to Basilica
Minore del Santo Niño de Cebú. Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebú (Minor
Basilica of the Holy Child of Cebú) commonly known as the Santo Niño Basilica,
was a minor basilica in Cebu City in the Philippines. Also the oldest Roman
Catholic church in the country. I was impressed by the building, although it
looked like oldest building but still looked artistic and there were so many
people visited it. When you came in to the building you’ll see beautiful church
inside it, the design was like lighting your eyes. There many catholic people
were praying also the tourist that just came for looking that beautiful place.
I enjoyed the place so much with my other practicumers friend also our buddy
Reggy that had explained us averything about the place we were visited. The
coolest buddy J
